Out story begins with grandpa Isidoro, who used to sail ship from Mantova to Laguna Veneta and, on his way back, went up to Milan through
Ticino river and Navigli.
At the end of the century the Negrinis took part in Società Fluviale, who grately empower its fleet.
Isidoro get retired in San Matteo delle Chiaviche, and his children keep running the business, while Societ‡ Fluviale's fleet grows up to 24 units.
In 1912 grandpa Isidoro moves in Governolo, a strategical point for navigation.
The Società Mantovana Barcari born, with 35 boats, but
in the same time, the First World War starts.
In 1932 the Barcari starts again its activity on the waters, and greatly empower itself, absorbing Società Fluviale. With the Second World War the Po navigation is terribly reduced, and they must start from the beginning.
By the end of 40's three generations of Negrinis are sealing: the old Luigi, his son Nunzio, and the nephew Augusto.
All togheter they work
hard to relaunch the water transport. Nunzio is engaged in founding the first School of Internal Navigation, in Governolo.
After that, the activity keep an eye on touristic transport, which keep going with raising success, until our days.
